Our community is ethnically diverse, with many young families along as well as seniors. Kanata is home to Canada&#8217;s largest tech park and many of our community members work in the technology sector.<\/p><p>Alhamdulillah, we\u2019re incredibly blessed to have a diverse community, where men, women and children of various ethnic backgrounds and ages participate actively in community events, programs and initiatives. For over a decade, Friday prayers and activities were held in rented facilities such as churches, schools and community centres. Alhamdulillah, we finally purchased a property in 2016 for Kanata&#8217;s first Masjid. He is trained in the Islamic sciences, journalism, philanthropy and non-profit leadership. He leads Friday prayer weekly and is normally present Tuesday to Saturday to lead three of five daily prayers and to attend to the needs of the community.
